Clay Kodesh Arts and Learning is a unique arts and learning center that frames Jewish ceremony into the natural context of the created world. It is the clay studio for Lia Lynn Rosen's innovative, custom-made southwestern Judaica and a welcoming rural retreat for joining with others in seasonal celebrations, classes in Hebrew language and prayer, and workshops integrating nature, mindfulness and gratitude into our lives.
Informed by Jewish feminism and Renewal, Lia invites those of all backgrounds to visit, learn and create at Clay Kodesh: "Become Sacred Vessels".
Clay Kodesh pottery integrates Jewish and Southwestern aesthetics with contemporary ceremonial art. In using the term "Clay Kodesh", I am drawing a Hebrew pun: Clay = Vessels, Kodesh = Sacred. I also affirm the possibility that each one of us can become sacred vessels by including art and beauty in our spiritual lives.
Clay Kodesh Studio is located just ten miles south of Santa Fe in the traditional New Mexican agricultural community of La Cienega, known for its natural water, beauty and fauna.
I welcome our collaboration and conversation.
